Christian Geeply Weah, a self-proclaimed "brother" of former President George Weah, turned out to be the star of a scam saga

Ah, my people, gather 'round for a tale that reads like a Nollywood thriller set in the heart of Monrovia!

So, Christian Geeply Weah, a self-proclaimed "brother" of former President George Weah, turned out to be the star of a scam saga. This 41-year-old trickster allegedly duped a Ukrainian millionaire of over US$4 million with a fake oil block deal. It's like a Liberian twist on the classic "419" scam!

Weah, with an accomplice named Carmen Lisa Woods, tried to sell Liberian crude oil from a non-existent oil block, Block#9. They went all-in with counterfeit public documents, claiming to be legit representatives of the Government of Liberia. But, my people, Block#9? It's like searching for palm wine in the Sahara – nonexistent!

The plot thickened when Weah, armed with fake documents and claiming to be the former president's brother, hoodwinked the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy into a bogus deal. They promised to sell Seven Hundred Million Barrels of Crude Oil at USD$250.00 per barrel, totaling a whopping USD$175,000,000.00.

But wait, there's more! Weah's forgery spree involved seals of the Republic and the Executive Mansion, adding a touch of presidential legitimacy to his con game. It's like trying to camouflage a rat as a lion!

The Liberia National Police (LNP), however, played detective and unraveled the elaborate scam. Weah got nabbed after allegedly attempting to bribe state security with US$100,000. Oh, the audacity!

In a twist worthy of a courtroom drama, Weah admitted to a laundry list of crimes, from economic sabotage to money laundering. The LNP even claimed he tried to escape the country but was caught red-handed upon his return.

Now, the legal showdown begins. Weah's lawyer claimed the seized money was an extortion attempt, leading to a courtroom tango that left even the LNP scratching their heads. A judge ordered the return of US$12,000 seized from Weah, arguing that the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) should handle such matters.

The LNP, feeling a bit bruised by the legal dance, filed a petition to review the ruling, insisting that the Civil Law Court lacks jurisdiction in this criminal matter. They're not backing down, vowing to bring Weah to justice.

In George Weah's voice, "My people, this scam is wilder than a bush cat chase! Let's hope justice prevails, and Liberia stays scam-free. πŸ•΅️‍♂️πŸ’Έ #LiberianScamSaga #Block9Mystery" JustSoYouKnow #LiberianCourtDrama #DollarDanceOff"#metaverse #CGT #MyNameOhoo #Respect #dailyobserver
